Family Health Concerns

Summer 2015 - Premiere Litter (Spring 2015 Litter)

One female puppy had a very severe case of HOD (hypertrophic osteodystrophy) This is a condition that is NOT considered genetic, however does effect certain breeds more than others including giant breed dogs. She is doing fine after proper treatment. You can read about the condition here.

August 2015 - Ripley (Dam of Premiere Litter, Diamond Dogs, Game of Thrones)

Ripley had a biopsy done on some cysts that can be felt under her skin. They are 100% benign. The condition is called Sebaceous Cysts. You can read more about it here Completely harmless, however if your dog ever grows any sort of lump or cycst it is best to get a biopsy done in order to ensure it is nothing to worry about.

November 2015 - Death

Ripley and Dharma's mother, Tundra crossed The Rainbow Bridge at the age of 8 (not sure) causes unknown.

March 2016 - Premiere Litter (Spring 2015 Litter)

One Female Puppy has developed a minor case of Cherry Eye. This is a typically cosmetic concern, and can happen with English Mastiffs more commonly than Danes. The tear duct in the eye loosens and can be visible as a red lump in the corner or the eye. It can sometimes be massaged back in and not cause further issue. However in severe cases can be surgically repaired. It should be noted that this case could have been brought on and exacerbated from use of a face halter.

June 2017 - Premiere Litter (Spring 2015 Litter)

One Female Puppy has been diagnosed with Spay Incontinence. A condition caused from spaying. You can read more about that here
